FILIPINOS HESITANT TO GET VACCINATED VS COVID — SURVEY

/ 3 February 2021

FILIPINOS are hesitant to be inoculated with Covid19 vaccines, especially those made in China, a recent survey conducted by professors and students of the University of Santo Tomas revealed.

The survey made by UST-CoVAX showed that 55.9 percent of the respondents said that they will get vaccinated against coronavirus once it becomes available.

Half, or 50.9 percent of the respondents, meanwhile, said they will use any safe and effective vaccine once it is available.

The respondents however said that they do not trust the vaccines coming from China.

The team conducted the survey, written both in Filipino and English, from January 16-30 on open-access platforms across social media.

A total of 15,651 respondents participated in the survey.
