/ 13 July 2026

THE SECOND Congressional Commission on Education (EDCOM 2) congratulated the country’s new college graduates while reaffirming its commitment to pursuing reforms aimed at improving the quality of Philippine education.

In a social media post, EDCOM 2 commended the perseverance of the Class of 2026, recognizing the challenges they faced throughout their academic journey—from completing research papers and examinations to overcoming the demands of college life.

“It was not easy, but you stood your ground, persevered, and now you wear your graduation toga,” the commission said, describing the graduates’ achievement as a testament to the determination and resilience of Filipino youth.

EDCOM 2 assured the graduates that it would continue working toward building a stronger, more inclusive, and equitable education system, emphasizing that every Filipino learner deserves access to quality education and greater opportunities.

The commission also encouraged the new graduates to bring with them the knowledge, skills, and passion for nation-building as they embark on their professional careers.

“As you step into the real world, bring with you your excellence and your heart for the nation. You are the ones who will help shape and transform the future,” EDCOM 2 said.

The commission concluded its message by congratulating the Class of 2026 and expressing pride in their achievements, while urging the public to celebrate the accomplishments of the country’s newest graduates.
