E-LEARNING CENTER BILL FILED IN HOUSE

A BILL seeking to establish e-learning centers in municipalities and cities has been filed in the House of Representatives.

Davao City 1st District Rep. Paolo Duterte, Benguet Rep. Eric Yap, Quezon City Rep. Ralph Tulfo and ACT-CIS Partylist Representatives Jocelyn Tulfo, Jeffrey Soriano and Edvic Yap filed House Bill 453  which will mandate the establishment of virtual education learning centers.

Under the measure, the Department of Education and the Department of Public Works and Highways will coordinate to ensure that there will be upgraded public libraries and reading centers.

Aside from computers, the centers will have books, journals, and newspapers; audio-visual aids like film, television, and radio with internet connection for virtual conferencing.

The e-learning centers will cater to young and old people.
