PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte urged new graduates of the Philippine National Police Academy to uphold their professionalism by doing their job and without going beyond legal bounds.

Duterte reminded the graduates that they are government workers and that “each and everyone has something to give to the country.”

“You must maintain professionalism for you will soon take over its leadership and will be the role models of future Filipino law enforcers,” Duterte said during the graduation rites of the PNPA ‘Alab-Kalis’ Class of 2022.

He also urged them to help ensure that the elections in May will be clean and orderly.

“Do not go out of your legal parameters. Iyong tama lang na trabaho ng pulis pati alam niya ang obligasyon sa taumbayan,” he said.

“I enjoin you as members of the PNP (Philippine National Police) to ensure clean and safe elections and adhere to the value of professionalism and non-partisanship,” he added.
