SENATOR Manuel Lapid filed a resolution congratulating and commending De La Salle University-Dasmarinas for winning the Microsoft Showcase School Biggest Impact Award for Asia.

In his Senate Resolution 481, Lapid stressed the need for the Senate to recognize the school’s efforts in using technology.

This will enhance learning and create positive impact in the community, and encourage other educational institutions to follow its example and strive towards excellence in all their endeavors, according to the senator.

The Microsoft Education report published last January 10, named DLSUD as an awardee during the 3rd annual Global Showcase School Summit held in November 2022.

The award was given to standout institutions that serve as example and inspire schools around the world for using technology in teaching and learning.

Lapid said the university has time and time again been lauded for its innovative techniques, including its use of technology to facilitate virtual learning and collaboration, its efforts to promote environmental sustainability, and its commitment to social responsibility and social service.
