THE DEPARTMENT of Education has warned the public over the posts circulating online claiming that they give out “pang baon” for Grade 1 to 6 learners.

“Parents and guardians are advised not to give out their children’s school information and identification to these kinds of hideous posts so as not to compromise their security,” DepEd said in an advisory.

DepEd also reminded the public to stay vigilant against misinformation.

Earlier, DepEd warned the public of posts circulating about the agency’s scholarship offer.

The agency also urged the public to report “any misleading and suspicious information” about basic education to [email protected].
