THE Department of Education will implement asynchronous classes or distance learning on Monday (April 8) to allow students to complete their pending requirements.

Teaching and non-teaching personnel in all public schools shall not be required to report to their stations, DepEd said in an advisory.

However, private schools are not covered by this advisory but shall have the option to implement the same.

Earlier, some local government and state universities have implemented online classes, distance learning, and asynchronous classes due to extreme heat.
