DEPED RECEIVES P8.8-M CASH AID FROM NIKKA TRADING

THE DEPARTMENT of Education in Central Luzon received P8.8 million financial assistance from Nikka Trading to help senior high school students in the region.

The donation will be used by 78 schools offering Plumbing and Electrical Installation and Maintenance specializations under the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood Strand.

Andronica Roma, owner of Nikka Trading, turned over some 1,175 units of plumbing tools and equipment to Regional Director May Eclar.

Roma also signed the Memorandum of Agreement with DepEd, while school heads of the recipient schools signed the Deed of Donations.

“Said donation was made in response to RA 8525 otherwise known as An Act Establishing Adopt-A-School Program, Providing Incentives Therefor and For Other Purposes and at the same time completing the deliveries for Lot 17 – Plumbing Tools and Equipment contract with DepEd Regional Office III,” the DepEd-Central Luzon said.

“Nikka Trading, a private enterprise registered in the Department of Trade and Industry and Bureau of Internal Revenue issued with Tax Clearance Certificate valid until August 4, 2022 in this instance may avail of the incentives provided in the Adopt-A-School Program,” it added.
