THE DEPARTMENT of Education gave assurances that there will be no separate guidelines for students and personnel who have not received Covid19 jabs.

DepEd Spokesperson Atty. Michael Poa said that the department issued one policy covering all students and teachers.

“We have a non-discriminatory policy. Meaning for both teaching, non-teaching personnel, as well as our learners themselves,” he said.

“We will not discriminate. Walang separate guidelines for those that are vaccinated and those that are unvaccinated. Voluntary pa rin ang pananaw natin sa vaccination,” Poa added.

Earlier, the Department of Health said that students will not be required to have Covid19 jabs but it is highly encouraged.

Classes for School Year 2022-2023 will begin on August 22.
