DEPED LAUNCHES WEB SERIES TO SUPPORT PERSONNEL’S MENTAL HEALTH

/ 22 May 2021

THE DEPARTMENT of Education will launch an online series that aims to support the mental health of its employees and stakeholders.

The series dubbed as ‘TAYO Naman!: Tulong, Alaga, Yakap, at Oras para sa mga Tagapagtaguyod ng Edukasyon’ is a continuation of DepEd’s Wellness Check Series that provided discussions on positive coping mechanisms to combat stress and other mental health challenges brought by the Covid19 pandemic.

“We started this last year as we recognized the need for ample mental health support of our teachers and personnel. We look forward to reach more education frontliners this time and remind them that DepEd is ready to assist them during these trying times,” Education Secretary Leonor Briones said.

The program also aims to develop a resilient workforce that can withstand current and future crises and equip personnel with ways to protect their mental health and promote the well-being of all DepEd personnel.

TAYO Naman! will include ‘Kumustahan’ — an Online in-depth Session Support Group every Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. for selected participants.

It also features a Live Webinar series to tackle various topics on mental health every Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

TAYO Naman! will be streamed every Friday at 8:30 a.m. through the DepEd Philippines Facebook Page and official Youtube Channel.

The program is made possible in collaboration with Globe Telecom, through their Global Filipino Teachers Program, MAGIS Creative Spaces, Philippine Mental Health Association, and Unilab Foundation.
