DEPED LAUNCHES ERROR WATCH

THE DEPARTMENT of Education launched on Monday an initiative to gather and correct errors in learning materials.

The ‘DepEd Error Watch’ aims to receive and collect reports of errors found in modules and online lessons.

Education Undersecretary Alain Pascua said all reported errors will be forwarded to the appropriate offices “for validation and correction.”

He said that the Curriculum and Instruction and Administration Strands and other concerned offices are finalizing their systems and processes to address the reports.

Those who will submit reports on errors were encouraged to use the hashtag #depederrorwatch for ease of visibility and collation.

Recently, Pascua apologized for an erroneous Math equation aired.

He thanked critics for pointing out the mistake and expressed the importance of quality checks.
