THE DEPARTMENT of Education has extended the enrollment for School Year 2021-2022 until September 30.

Education Undersecretary Revsee Escobedo said that the number of enrollees is expected to increase and surpass last year’s enrollment figures.

“Magpapalabas tayo ng [memorandum kung] saan ang DepEd ay tatanggap ng enrollees hanggang September 30, 2021,” Escobedo said during the virtual school opening program on Monday.

“Umaasa tayo na sa buwan na ito, mahihigitan natin ang numero ng enrollment natin noong School Year 2020 to 2021,” he added.

As of Monday, over 24.6 million learners enrolled in basic education, accounting for 93.8 percent of the previous school year’s 26.2 million students.

Distance learning will continue to be implemented, under which students will learn using printed and digital modules, online classes, television, and radio.
