THE DEPARTMENT of Education (DepEd) School Division of Antique will include road safety program under the Araling Panlipunan (Social Studies) subject starting School Year 2026-2027.

DepEd Antique head Dr. Ernesto Servillon Jr. said in an interview on Friday that teaching road safety could hopefully prevent accidents involving learners.

“We know that our learners are traveling to their homes and schools and so to  prevent any untoward incident, we are integrating the road safety program in their Araling Panlipunan subject,” Servillon said.

He said the road safety program will educate learners about the importance  of securing a driver’s license and other land transport regulations being implemented by the Land Transportation Office. (PNA)
