THE COMMISSION on Higher Education has ordered the Cebu Technological University to stop conducting face-to-face classes for its veterinary medicine program.

Max Aljibe, CHED Western Visayas director, said the university agreed to comply with the directive.

“They said they will stop conducting face-to-face classes,” Ajilbe said in a statement.

Earlier this week, the National Congress of Veterinary Medicine Students said that the CTU-College of Veterinary Medicine has been conducting in-person classes since March 23.

John Louis Gonzales, NCVMS national director, said that some students claimed that the school did not follow government guidelines and did not provide personal protective equipment.

He added that some students were compelled to attend face-to-face classes.

On March 26, the Commission on Higher Education allowed limited face-to-face classes in 24 colleges and universities offering allied health degree programs beginning the second semester of the current school year.

However, CTU-CVM was not in the list.
