CHED GRANTS IFUGAO STATE U P22-M FOR ENGINEERING LABS

THE COMMISSION on Higher Education has given the Ifugao State University P22 million for the upgrade of its Electrical Engineering laboratories at Lagawe campus.

The project aims to modernize the university’s facilities to provide students learning opportunities and quality education.

The university thanked CHED for the funding.

“We owe a huge debt of appreciation to CHED, led by Chairperson Sir Prospero De Vera, for approving our project proposal and providing unwavering support to IFSU,” Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon, IFSU president, said.

“Thank you also to the IFSU Board of Regents, which is chaired by Commissioner Lilian De Las Llagas, for endorsing our proposal, as well as Atty. Lily Freida Milla, Deputy Executive Director of CHED International Affairs Staff,” she said.

She also thanked the teachers and staff of the Lagawe campus for coming up with a proposal and all the hard work they put into the project.

IFSU said the items to be improved in the laboratories are AC Power Transmission Training System materials, Student Manuals, Instructor Guides, Workstation, Three Phase AC Power Circuits, AC Transmission Lines, Resistive Load, Inductive Load, Capacitive Load, and Three-Phase Transformer Bank.

Also included are Three-Phase Regulating Autotransformer, Power Supply, Connection Lead Set, Data Acquisition and Control Interface, 24 V AC Power Supply, Dust Cover for Workstations, Mobile Storage Cabinet, delivery and installation, training, and protection system (Panel Board, Circuit Breakers, Protection Relays).
