PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ordered the Commission on Higher Education to finish the re-evaluation of 83 maritime schools in two years.

CHED Chairman Prospero De Vera 3rd vowed that his agency will finish the task to ensure that maritime schools meet the standards.

Last year, 15 maritime programs were terminated for non-compliance with the standards.

The commission aimed to evaluate 30 maritime schools per year but Marcos wanted the agency to increase its target to 40 schools per year.
