/ 25 August 2020

THE PROVINCIAL government of Catanduanes is allocating P8 million for the purchase of the much-needed laptops, computers, and TVs as the education sector adopts blended learning this school year.

Catanduanes Gov. Joseph Cua said his office will provide 25 photocopying machines, 16 laptops, five computer desktops, four projectors, and 21 TVs to augment the needs in the conduct of online classes and printing of instructional materials.

Cua expressed his support to the teachers, with the donated equipment eyed to help them prepare for the new method of instruction.

“Alam ko ang pinagdadaanang hirap ngayon ng ating mga teachers. Tuloy ang ating programa para makapagbigay ng kaunting tulong sa kanila,” the governor said.

Cua also assured he is willing to help students who lack funds and resources for distance learning.

Catanduanes Rep. Hector Sanchez, on the other hand, also donated P30 million to the Schools Division Office of Catanduanes to fast-track the printing of the modules.
