“There are still cuts in the Department of Education amounting to P9.3 billion in programs vital to ensuring safe and quality education for all including Special Education Program, World Teachers Day Incentive, Basic Education Facilities among others. There are also cuts in various SUCs and programs of the Commission on Higher Education,” pahayag ni Castro.

“There is still a lot in the proposed budget and its misplaced priorities that need to be carefully scrutinized. A lot of questions left hanging and unanswered. We hope the House leadership will allow the maximum transparency and opportunity for the people and the House members to thoroughly scrutinize the 2021 proposed budget of the Duterte administration,” dagdag pa ni Castro.
