BSP INKS DEAL WITH TESDA AND BDO ON FREE FINANCE ONLINE COURSE
THE BANGKO Sentral ng Pilipinas signed a memorandum of agreement with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and BDO Foundation to develop a free online course on personal finance.
The agreement aims to boost the financial knowledge of over four million technical and vocational learners.
The BSP said that it recognizes the vital role of TVET learners and workers in the country.
“Through the FLC, we empower them to take charge of their own personal and financial growth,” BSP Governor Felipe M. Medalla said.
It added that giving free financial education to these learners will empower them and their families and will provide better outcomes for the country’s economy.
Medalla also thanked BDO and TESDA for the new partnership.
“Sustainable public-private partnerships are instrumental in developing more financial education programs that are free, effective, accessible, interactive, and scalable. This greatly expands the reach of our financial inclusion efforts,” Medalla said.
