ARMY HOLDS SAFE DRIVING SEMINAR

/ 20 August 2022

THE PHILIPPINE Army, through the Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group, started its two-week safe driving seminar aimed to instill defensive and proactive driving habits for around 300 soldiers.

The seminar, which is being conducted by batches, was set from August 17 to August 30, 2022.

It also aims to provide awareness and responsibility on road safety and promote visual alertness.

Last June, the Philippine Army conducted a motorcycle-riding safety seminar for more than 1,200 troops. The month-long seminar helped reduce or eliminate risks of motorcycle accidents through lectures and practical exercises on safe and defensive riding habits.

HHSG Chief of Staff Col. Ivan V. San Jose said that the series of safe driving seminars for soldiers is in line with Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr.’s desire to cultivate a “culture of safety” within the organization.
