77K EDUCATORS JOIN DICT WEBINARS ON ONLINE TEACHING

MORE than 77,000 educators  joined the webinars on remote teaching and learning conducted by the Department of Information and Communications Technology and University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU).

The goal of the nine-session webinar was to prepare educators for the new normal way of teaching.

Speakers included experts from UPOU led by Chancellor and Professor Dr. Melinda Bandalaria.

DICT Mindanao Cluster 1 Regional Director Maria Teresa Camba expressed her gratitude to all the participants and organizers in making such event possible despite the pandemic.

Camba added she was glad that a huge number of teachers from different regions joined the webinar in order to gain knowledge on distance learning.

About 60,000 certificates were distributed to those who attended the webinar.

UPOU has also partnered with Don Bosco Inc. and provided free  training to teachers on how to conduct online classes.
