733 PASS MIDWIFERY LICENSURE EXAM

THE PROFESSIONAL Regulation Commission announced on Tuesday that 733 out of 1,599 examinees passed the licensure examination for midwifery.

Ma. Isabella Navales of Davao Medical School Foundation topped the exam with a rating of 96.60 percent.

Hyacinth Pacano Bueno of Isabela State University-Ilagan came in second with 89.55%, followed by Jasmin Angelica Ocalo Ibalin of Ago Medical & Educational Center-Bicol Christian College of Medicine with 89.20%.

The top performing schools with 15 or more examinees with at least 80 percent passing percentage are the Isabela State University-Ilagan (100); St. Alexius College (95.65); Ifugao State University-Potia (94.12); Integrated Midwives Association of the Philippines Foundation School of Midwifery (80.95); and Iloilo Doctor’s College (80).

The Midwifery Board Exam was conducted on April 6 to 7 at PRC testing centers located in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

It was given by five members of Board of Midwifery, including chairman Melchor Dela Cruz, Jr.
