3.4K MINORS INNOCULATED VS COVID19

AT LEAST 3,416 minors aged 12 to 17 with comorbidity have been vaccinated against Covid19, the National Vaccination Operations Center said on Wednesday.

NVOC representative Dr. Kezia Rosario said that there was only one severe case of adverse reaction.

“May symptom siya ng allergic reaction. Nabigyan siya ng treatment agad-agad. The rest are related sa pagbabakuna na na-stress sila during the vaccination,” Rosario said.

The NVOC official added that the vaccination of children will be conducted in over 20 hospitals and facilities starting October 22.

“So each of the local government units naman po ng National Capital Region have already prepared ng kanilang vaccination site using iyong hospital as a vaccination site,” she explained.

She said that facilities of some local government units will also be used as vaccination sites.

On Wednesday, the Department of Health released the additional hospitals and facilities that will be tapped for pediatric vaccination.

These are the Caloocan City North Medical Center, Caloocan City Medical Center (South), Ospital ng Malabon/Oreta Sports Complex, Navotas City Hospital, Valenzuela City Emergency Hospital, St. Luke’s Medical Center (BGC), Marikina Sports Complex (Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center), Quezon City General Hospital, Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center, Ospital ng Makati, SM Megamall Mega Vaccination Site, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, Ospital ng Muntinlupa, Ospital ng Paranaque 1, University of Perpetual Help Dalta System, and Pasay City General Hospital.

The Philippines started giving jabs to minors on October 15.

The inoculation was held in the National Children’s Hospital, Philippine Heart Center, Pasig City Children’s Hospital, Fe Del Mundo Medical Center, Philippine General Hospital, Makati Medical Center, St. Luke’s Medical Center (Quezon City), and Philippine Children’s Medical Center.
