18,860 PASS JUNE 2022 LICENSURE EXAM FOR TEACHERS

THE PROFESSIONAL Regulation Commission announced 8,667 elementary teachers and 10,193 secondary teachers passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers held two months ago in 19 testing centers across the country.

PRC said 17,149 elementary teachers took the exam, but only 8,667 passed or a passing mark of 50.54 percent, adding 290 of those who passed were first timers, while 8,377 were repeaters.

Meanwhile, 20,191 secondary teachers took the exam, but only 10,193 or 50.48 percent passed.

Of those who passed, 695 were first timers and 9,498 repeaters.

The exam was given by four members of the Board for Professional Teachers, including chairman Dr. Rosita Navarro.

Charline Tiquin Juntilla of Compostela Valley State College-Montevista branch (CVSTC) led the successful examinees for elementary level with a score of 93.40 percent.

The commission said no schools qualified as top performing in elementary level.

In secondary level, Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology was the best performing school, with 44 of its 52 takers passing the exam for a success rate of 84.62 percent.

Marvin Cabel Nillas, also from CVSTC, achieved the highest score for secondary level with 94 percent.
