10 PERCENT OF SCHOOLS TO HOLD BLENDED LEARNING

/ 16 August 2022

ONLY 10 percent of the 47,000 public schools will hold blended learning starting August 22, the Department of Education said.

“About 10 percent will still be blended, and we will be coordinating with the local government units to ensure they will allow face-to-face classes by that time,” DepEd Undersecretary Epimaco Densing III said in a press briefing.

Most private schools will hold blended learning until October 31, Densing said.

The department expects 90 percent of schools to hold in-person classes.

All schools must have face-to-face classes on November 2, according to Education Secretary Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio.

DepEd said that it established temporary learning facilities particularly in areas affected by natural disasters.
