SEVERAL student councils on Monday formally endorsed the candidacy of Vice President Maria Leonor ‘Leni’ Robredo and her running mate, Senator Francis ‘Kiko’ Pangilinan.

In a statement, the San Beda Student Council said that students collectively believe that Robredo and Pangilinan are “genuine and principled leaders during the pandemic.”

“They have shown to be dedicated public servants who have collaborated with different organizations and communities hence, manifesting their comprehensive understanding on the underlying causes and issues of the society,” the SBSC said.

“Above all, both of these candidates have shown well-defined and practical platforms that in turn, renders themselves in the best positions to provide such meaningful solutions to the pressing challenges and struggles in the sectors of education, labor, economy, environment, human rights, healthcare, and such among the Filipino people,” it added.

The De La Salle University Student Government also expressed support to the Leni-Kiko tandem.

“Ang kanilang track record, plataporma, paninindigan sa mga isyu ng lipunan, prinsipyo, pagpapahalaga sa karapatang pantao, at daliang tugon sa krisis ay iilan lamang sa maraming katangian nila na kinakailangan ng isang lider ang naging ugat sa desisyon ng pagsuporta ng USG,” the USG Legislative Assembly Public Information Office said.
