LABOR leader Leody de Guzman on Monday expressed readiness to drop his presidential bid in support of Vice President Leni Robredo if they can agree on the platforms that will be pushed.
“Puwedeng hindi na ako tumakbo kung magkakasundo kami ni [VP Leni] sa plataporma, kung ipaglalaban niya at assure niya na ‘hindi ako kagaya kay Duterte na tinatalikuran ang pangako,” De Guzman said at the Pandesal Forum in Quezon City.
The labor leader is pushing for an end of contractualization.
His mantra for the election is “Manggagawa naman.”
He is also batting for the disbandment of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict and empowering the agricultural sector, among others.
He added that the decision to run for president has not been easy, citing financial woes.
