LACSON UNBOWED DESPITE LOW SURVEY RATINGS

/ 31 December 2021

ALTHOUGH he has not been rated high in surveys, Partido Reporma standard-bearer Panfilo Lacson said that he remains “unyielding” and will not drop out of the presidential race.

The senator said that despite his low ratings in mainstream surveys, he is “strong, unbowed and unyielding.”

Lacson said Filipinos must not succumb to a “defeatist” mindset, especially those who only base their voting decisions on bandwagon politics even if it is against their own principles.

Along with his partymate and senatorial aspirant Monsour del Rosario, Lacson appealed to the public to vote wisely in the next elections because it’s the present and future generation of Filipino who will suffer if the wrong leader gets elected.

“Kaya lahat tayo merong taya. Huwag nating sabihin na wala tayong pakialam diyan dahil pareho rin naman ang mangyayari. E pagka ganoon, talagang defeatist attitude, talo talaga tayo,” the senator said.

He gave assurances that he will press on with his candidacy and fight through an issues-based campaign.

Lacson said he understood the challenges he will have to overcome when he made the decision to seek the highest public office for the second time.

He vowed to be consistent in his messages and will never resort to mudslinging or so-called gutter politics.

“Kung meron kaming trademark na maipagmamalaki namin, consistency. From the very beginning, palagi kaming consistent. ‘Pag sinabi namin, ginagawa namin. We always walk the talk,” Lacson said.
