PRESIDENTIAL aspirant Ka Leody De Guzman urged Commission on Elections Commissioner Rowena Guanzon to identify the lawmaker who is allegedly meddling in the disqualification case against presidential frontrunner Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, Jr.

Guanzon earlier said that a senator is trying to influence other commissioners on the case of Marcos Jr. and is the reason why the ruling has been delayed “unreasonably.”

De Guzman said that the individual should be held accountable and should be named.

“Maraming pasabog si Commissioner Guanzon pero ang mas dapat bigyan ng atensiyon ay ‘yung nakababahalang pahayag niya na may nakikialam kung bakit naantala ang paglabas ng desisyon,” De Guzman said in a report by News5.

“Kung totoo, nilulustay nito ang integridad ng buong prosesong elektoral,” he added.

Senate President Vicente Sotto III, who is running for vice president, also asked the commissioner to reveal the name of the lawmaker.

“It’s best that [Guanzon] names the senator, otherwise we will all be suspect. If there is proof, I will ask the Committee on Ethics to look into the matter,” Sotto said.
