MANILA Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso pledged to improve the education system if he will be elected president next year.

Domagoso said he will empower the education sector by improving the technology and skills development program.

“We need to adapt new skills so that we can introduce to the next youth of our country and to prepare our country to be competitive in this business processing segment,” he said during a dialogue with the youth and barangay workers in Cabuyao, Laguna.

Domagoso vowed to invest in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics strand so that the Philippines can compete with other countries.

“I’ll make sure those things will be put into place: pamilya mo, eskwela mo, komunidad mo, and access to opportunities,” he added.

“Access to facilities in educational institutions will be provided. That’s the way to do it,” he pointed out.

Domagoso said that he will also focus on securing job opportunities and better access to healthcare services for young Filipinos.

“Sisiguraduhin ko ang tatay mo, may trabaho. Tapos ikaw, papasok sa eskwelahang matino in a public school with facilities and enough space and a proper student ratio will be achieved in the next ten years. Pag nagkasakit ka o nanay mo, meron kang ospital,” he said.
