YOUTH Act Now Against Tyranny marked International Student’s Day by calling on students to fight for democracy.

On its Facebook post, the group said that students should resist authoritarianism and fight for their freedom.

“The declaration of the International Student’s Day celebrated and encouraged students around the world to resist authoritarian regimes and to fight for freedom and democracy in all nations,” it said.

Student unions around the world celebrate this event to “commemorate the everlasting student pursuit for democracy and their struggle to ensure that education is accessible for all,” it added.

The webinar is a joint program of the National Union of Students of the Philippines, College Editors Guild of the Philippines and Youth Act Now Against Tyranny.
