XAVIER SCHOOL ALLOWED TO HOLD LIMITED F2F CLASSES

/ 12 February 2022

THE XAVIER School in San Juan City will hold limited face-to-face classes for the months of February and March 2022.

The school was allowed to resume in-person classes after complying with the requirements of the Department of Education and the local government unit of San Juan.

Officials of DepEd and representatives of the city inspected the school to determine its preparedness to conduct physical classes.

“Both teams expressed their satisfaction with the adherence of the school to the health and safety protocols set by the government and the preparation of the academic activities for the onsite and online students,” the school said.

Xavier said it will adopt “Hyflex Pilot Classes” under which both online and onsite students will progress together with the use of technology tools set up in each classroom.

“Parents were asked to volunteer for one week of face-to-face classes, but only 15 to 18 learners were approved for participation called as ‘roomies’. The rest, known as the ‘Zoomies,’ will continue to follow the class virtually,” it explained.

“The pilot classes involve only one section per grade level and are a valuable learning experience for the school to implement the hyflex structure when the new school year starts in June,” it added.
