/ 7 September 2021

THE VILLABA campus of the Visayas State University unveiled five new infrastructure projects that will help improve its operations.

These include the construction of a multipurpose building, gymnasium, administration annex, a grommet station and a crop science laboratory.

VSU said the projects have a total budget of P19.1 million.

Chancellor Maria Jehan P. Libre said that the projects aim to attract more local students as it currently operates in a 1:19 faculty to student ratio.

“When our locals here get to visit us and see how the campus is growing in terms of new buildings, it somehow convinces them to consider us for their college degree,” Libre said.

The chancellor added that the university will construct another library building and road project with a P25.5 million budget.
