VISAYAS STATE U INKS PACT WITH INDONESIA SCHOOL

/ 3 January 2022

THE VISAYAS State University has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Universitas Syiah Kuala, the largest and oldest university in Indonesia.

The VSU said the partnership will lead to more academic collaborations specifically in teaching, research, extension and innovation.

“I see this partnership as one of the fruits of Asean integration so that we can both allow greater mobility for our students and faculty members,” Dr. Edgardo Tulin, VSU president, said.

Officials from both schools held a virtual signing ceremony last December to formalize the partnership.

USK was represented by its Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Samsul Rizal.

To date, VSU has a total of 8 international partnerships with organizations and universities.
