THE UNIVERSITY of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines on Wednesday unveiled its nearly completed building in its Villanueva campus.

The new building will house additional classrooms which will be used once face-to-face classes resume.

The university said that its gymnasium is also under renovation.

“The newly constructed 4-storey building of USTP Villanueva in Poblacion, Villanueva, Misamis Oriental is now nearing completion. The building, which is 85% complete, will host the student classrooms when [face-to-face] classes will be allowed. The gymnasium, which is under renovation, will be the venue for extra-curricular and sports activities,” USTP said on its website.

The project was made possible through the partnership between USTP, the local government of Villanueva and Misamis Oriental 2nd District Representative Juliette T. Uy.

The university also signed a usufruct agreement with the Philippine Veterans Investment Development Corporation for the establishment of a 5-hectare campus inside its property.
