UST: ONLY FULLY VACCINATED STUDENTS ALLOWED TO ATTEND F2F CLASSES

DESPITE the reimposition of Alert Level 3 status in Metro Manila, the University of Santo Tomas will push through with the conduct of face-to-face classes.

However, Fr. Louie Coronel, UST secretary general, said that only fully vaccinated students will be allowed to enter the campus.

“University staff and students shall be required to show their vaccination cards at the entrance of each building. Only fully vaccinated individuals are allowed onsite, whether for work or study,” Coronel said in a memorandum.

The Commission on Higher Education earlier said that limited in-person classes are permitted provided that the indoor venue capacity is set at 50 percent.

Meanwhile, Coronel urged the UST community to get booster shots and to update their vaccination record in the Thomasian Online Medical Services and Support website.

“Those who are qualified to receive a booster dose are strongly encouraged to avail at the soonest possible time in anticipation of the requirement for a booster dose in order to be considered fully vaccinated,” Coronel said.

“The confirmation of the vaccination status and health declaration of UST students and staff will be included in the requirements when the UST’s digital IDs have been fully integrated,” he added.
