UST GETS BENTLEY ACADEMIC PROGRAM

/ 14 November 2020

THE UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas was chosen as the recipient of the Bentley Academic Program, which provides students and educators access to over 50 software applications for infrastructure and engineering solutions.

Bentley Systems is an infrastructure engineering software company that creates software preferred by the world’s leading engineering firms.

Civil Engineering department chairman Rajiv Eldon Abdullah said the selection of UST was made possible through the Department of Transportation.

“The university has been working with DoTr to address the growing human resource requirements of the country’s railway industry,” Abdullah said.

The DoTr partnered with Reveron Consulting, Inc. to determine who would be the recipient.

“The university’s engineering programs, which recently secured the coveted ABET accreditation, are expected to get an industry-level boost from this project, with the students and faculty expected to access the software and even earn Bentley-issued certifications for trainings provided by international experts,” the UST Faculty of Engineering said.
