UNIVERSITY of the Philippines Chancellor Clement Camposano received a medal and citation as Senior Fellow of the Philippine Public Safety College.

PPSC president Police Lieutenant General Ricardo de Leon conferred the award on May 27.

The PPSC was established through RA 6975 as amended by RA 11279, identifying it as the premier educational institution for the training, human resource development, and continuing education of all personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology.

It also aims to provide select mandatory career courses for police commissioned officers, and specialized courses for personnel of the Philippine National Police.

Aside from its officers and non-officers courses, PPSC offers two Master’s Degree Programs, namely, Master in Public Safety Administration and Master in Crisis and Disaster Risk Management.

“The PPSC is committed to developing a highly ethical, effective and efficient corps of public safety personnel imbued and equipped with the knowledge, attitude, skills, habits and values necessary to serve and protect the people,” UPV said.
