UPLB EXTENDS DEADLINES
THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines-Los Baños on Tuesday approved the request of students to extend the deadline of activities and lifting of attendance from November 2 to 4.
UPLB Jose Camacho Jr. said the move was in “consideration of students, teaching and non-teaching staff members affected by Typhoon Paeng.”
“In consideration of the damage of Typhoon Paeng to our campus and the difficulties it brought to our students, teaching and non-teaching staff members, I am approving the extension of deadlines and lifting of attendance in face-to-face and synchronous classes sessions from Nov. 2 to 4,” Camacho said.
The official also asked all vice chancellors, deans, director and unit heads to monitor and conduct cleaning and clearing operations in their respective offices and premises.
Earlier in the week, the University Student Council asked the school officials to postpone deadlines because of the devastation wrought by ‘Paeng’.
