UPD GETS 100% PASSING RATE IN METALLURGICAL ENGINEERING LICENSURE EXAM
THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines Diliman achieved a 100-percent passing rate in the Metallurgical Engineering Licensure Examination given in July.
UPD said that all of its 10 first-time examinees passed, with three of them landing on the top five.
John Karlo E. Mercado secured the top spot with a score or 87.05 percent, while Juan Raphael S. Contreras placed second with 86.65 percent. Mae Pursia V. Orbon ranked fifth with 83.50 percent.
The Professional Regulation Commission said that 30 out of 43 examinees passed the exam given by the Board of Metallurgical Engineering in Manila and Cagayan de Oro.
Meanwhile, Andro P. Bayang from the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology placed third with a score of 84.30 percent, while Ramael B. Ebio from the same school came fourth with 83.85.
The top performing school was MSU-IIT that fielded 33 examinees and got a 60.61 percent passing rate.
