UP VISAYAS GETS CHED GO-SIGNAL TO HOLD F2F CLASSES

THE COMMISSION on Higher Education gave University of the Philippines Visayas the go-signal to finally hold face-to-face classes.

CHED gave the Certificate of Authority to UPV to conduct in-person classes.

The certificate was issued after the institution met the conditions of CHED and the Department of Health under joint Memorandum Circular No. 2021-001, which was enforced last April 28 and will expire on April 27 of next year.

Since early last year, UPV has been preparing for the return of face-to-face classes by organizing a committee to oversee the reopening of the campus.

Classes will begin on September 5 and end on June 8 next year.

The authorization to start classes was given for BA in Communication and Media Studies, Broadcast Communication, Community Development, History, Literature, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Communication Arts, BS in Applied Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, Public Health, Statistics, Fisheries, Accountancy, Business Administration (Marketing), Management, Chemical Engineering, and Food Technology.
