UP OPENS 3RD ROUND OF APPLICATION FOR GADGETS AND INTERNET SUBSIDY

/ 22 October 2020

STUDENTS of the University of the Philippines who need gadgets and internet subsidy may send their applications to the Student Learning Assistance System today, October 22, 2020.

The UP System Office of Student Financial Assistance said that undergraduate, Juris Doctor and Doctor of Medicine students who were not able to submit their application forms in the previous round may do so during this period.

“Students whose requests for extended availment of Free Tuition and Other School Fees under RA 10931 or the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act are also encouraged to apply for learning assistance during this period,” it said in a memorandum.

The application results will be released on Oct. 29 and the submission of appeals will be from Oct. 29-31, 2020.

The office said students who wish to apply for the program should log in at slasonline.up.edu.ph through their respective UP email accounts.

UP developed the SLAS to expand support for students in need of financial assistance and expedite the processing support for academic activities.

The SLAS is an expansion of the Student Financial Assistance Online (SFA Online), which was designed in 2014 to accept applications for tuition subsidies and allowances.
