THE PETITION to end the semester this early has gained ground at the University of the Philippines with 15,000 faculty members and students expressing support for the movement.

The university said that #EndSemester had 15,000 signatories across the UP System.

Around 300 faculty members and more than 200 student organizations supported the call to end the semester.

All petitions were led by the student councils and alliances. These were collated and forwarded to the members of the UP Board of Regents.

“Laban, Iskolar ng Bayan!

End the semester now! Pass all!

Pave the way for the safe reopening of schools! Fight for medical and economic solutions! We demand accountability from the Duterte administration! #EndTheSemUP #PassAllUP #WalangIwananUP,” UP student council said in a post.
