/ 17 October 2022

THE UNIVERSITY of San Carlos signed an agreement with tech service company Full Scale to give opportunities to tech students.

The company, which has a software development operation in Cebu City, aims to tap the best graduates from the country’s top universities.

Under the agreement, USC computer science and software development students can participate in paid internship programs with assurances of full-time employment.

Along with job openings, Full Scale and the USC’s Department of Computer, Information Sciences and Mathematics will collaborate to plan career fairs, speaking engagements, industry training, and consulting.

DCISM Chairman Angie Ceniza-Canillo said the undertaking will provide not just career guidance and opportunities to students but also increase the employment rate of USC graduates.

Meanwhile, Full Scale head of software engineering Rodulfo Nacu Jr. revealed that the company aims to help its interns and staff members become industry leaders by fostering their collaboration abilities in addition to their technical background and coding expertise.

Moreover, he expressed hope that the partnership will help increase the number of workers who will “not leave the Philippines for better compensation abroad.”
