UNIVERSITY OF SAN CARLOS EYES PARTNERSHIP WITH HUNGARIAN UNIVERSITY

THE UNIVERSITY of San Carlos and the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE in Hungarian), through the Embassy of Hungary in the Philippines, have discussed possible partnerships and exchange programs.

Hungarian Ambassador Dr. Titanilla Tóth, LI.M., Hungarian Consul Zsolt Ipolyi-Keller, Honorary Consul for Cebu Enrilen Joy Benedicto-Tan and MATE Rector Dr. Csaba Gyuricza visited the USC to establish avenues for future collaboration between the two universities.

The representatives are eyeing collaboration in landscape architecture, nutrition and dietetics, civil engineering, design, environmental science and natural science programs. The two universities are also looking at the possibility of conducting joint research projects.

Gyuricza expressed his willingness to establish connections with the various departments of USC.

“We hope to engage in a stable, sustained partnership with [USC],” Gyuricza said.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Toth expressed his gratitude to USC for its warm welcome.

“I was very touched to be received with such a warm welcome,” Dr. Toth said.

“We know that this is one of the most prestigious universities in the country, and we would like to celebrate the relationship between our countries with you,” he added.
