UNIVERSITY OF ANTIQUE TAKES STEPS TO ADDRESS RISING BOARDING HOUSE RATES

/ 11 February 2022

THE UNIVERSITY  of Antique will serve as the “middle man” between homeowners and landlords and students to address the rise in boarding house rates.

The initiative is in preparation for the gradual resumption of face-to-face classes in the university.

The university said that a series of meetings will be conducted to help ease the financial burden of students.

Among the issues that will be addressed are the imposition of rules and signages, isolation rooms, separate rooms for transient and permanent tenants, and establishing communication lines with the school clinic for students showing symptoms of Covid19.

A memorandum of agreement will be signed by the Boarding House Owners Association and the university to create measures once in-person learning resumes in UA.
