UE SHS STUDENTS WIN METROBIZ 2024

SENIOR high school from the University of the East Manila emerged as the champion of Metrobiz 2024, marking the third consecutive year to claim the prestigious title.

Team EASTrategists composed of Athena Ashley De Castro, Princess Rhenzeele Mallorca, Xash Cloie Flores, and Reianne Bogayan bested other 33 groups from 21 schools and universities nationwide.

“Big congratulations to the EASTrategists for this remarkable achievement!” UE said.

“Your victory reflects not only your skills and teamwork but also the unwavering support of your mentors and the entire UE Manila community. Here’s to continuing the tradition of Warrior Excellence!” it added.

The UE learners were guided by their coaches led by Jericko Lian Del Rosario and a team of ABM professors.

After an initial screening, 15 teams advanced to the elimination round held on October 19, where they presented their business case analyses to an esteemed panel of judges.

The top five teams were UE SHS Manila, Ateneo de Davao, De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, De La Salle Zobel, and St. Scholastica’s Academy Marikina.

Ateneo de Davao came up as 1st Runner-up, St. Scholastica’s Academy Marikina as 2nd Runner-up, and DLSU-Dasmariñas and De La Salle Zobel in 4th and 5th places, respectively.

The Metrobiz Challenge is a premier business case competition in the Philippines that tests the strategic thinking, problem-solving, and business acumen of Grade 12 students from the Accountancy, Business, and Management strand.
