/ 30 September 2021

STUDENTS of the University of Asia and the Pacific made history after they became the first Filipino team to win the Grand Champions title in the Asian Business Case Competition.

UA&P team composed of Ethan Gabriel Lee, Scott Gabriel Tiamson, Regina Maria Padojinog and Marco Antonio Agonia outranked teams from the University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, National University of Singapore, Singapore Management University, University of New South Wales and the University of Belgrade to claim the title.

It was the first time in the 13-year history of the event that a Filipino team has won the competition.

This places them alongside previous winners such as the University of Toronto and Nanyang Technological University.

Meanwhile, UA&P’s second team composed of Josh Cody Ong, Anna Maria Grio, Jose Genson II and Arielle Keithley Mirandilla placed ninth in the competition.

ABCC is an annual international undergraduate business case tilt in Asia organized by the Nanyang Business School in Singapore.

The event hosts undergraduate participants from business schools around the world, applying their knowledge and skills to solve real-life business problems.
