TYPHOON ROLLY TOPPLES TREE AT JOSE RIZAL UNIVERSITY

TYPHOON Rolly’s powerful winds toppled a tree at the Jose Rizal University campus on Sunday.

The Mandaluyong City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office said the tree was uprooted and crashed into a structure in the school’s quadrangle.

A team from the Mandaluyong CDRRMO was dispatched to remove the fallen tree.

Metro Manila was placed under Typhoon Signal Number 4 early Sunday as ‘Rolly’ pounded several provinces.

The typhoon, the most powerful worldwide this year, made landfall four times.

The typhoon first made landfall in Bato, Catanduanes early Sunday, before making its second landfall in Tiwi, Albay at 7:20 a.m.

‘Rolly’ made its third landfall in the vicinity of San Narciso, Quezon on Sunday noon.

Its fourth landfall was in the vicinity of Lobo, Batangas on Sunday afternoon.
