SOUTHERN LEYTE STATE U TO START F2F CLASSES ON APRIL 4

/ 24 March 2022

THE SOUTHERN Leyte State University said that face-to-face classes will start on April 4, 2022.

SLSU has received the safety seal certification from the Department of the Interior and Local Government to prove that it adheres to minimum health standards — a requirement needed to resume in-person classes.

The university has also finished the  simulation of classes which was set by the Joint Memorandum Circular of the Department of Health and the Commission on Higher Education.

SLSU said it has been prepared for physical classes since December but it was delayed after Southern Leyte was ravaged by Typhoon Odetteq.

It added that the conduct of physical classes is intended for laboratory subjects of second, third and fourth year students.

Students who will attend physical classes are from Industrial Technology, Food Technology, Hotel Management, Tourism, and Engineering programs.

The Commission on Higher Education said that schools opting to hold in-person learning must have a high vaccination rate, retrofitted facilities and approval from the concerned government agencies.
